Pluvio

Pluvio restaurant + rooms pairs an acclaimed tasting kitchen with four boutique guest rooms in the heart of Ucluelet. Owned and operated by chef Warren Barr and Lily Verney-Downey, it opened in April 2019 and was quickly named 4th Best New Restaurant in Canada by enRoute Magazine, later earning Canada's Best Destination Restaurant honours for 2022. The menu changes with the seasons and celebrates foraged and locally sourced west coast ingredients, drawing on Warren's years cooking at the Wickaninnish Inn and beyond. Dinner is served daily from 5pm to 9pm, subject to occasional closures, with the intimate rooms offering a comfortable overnight stay just steps from the restaurant. Pet-friendly rooms and group bookings are available, and the team also welcomes small getaways and gatherings. Guided by a philosophy of charming and delighting guests through kindness, generosity and creativity, Pluvio closes for several weeks each January so its team can rest and recharge.
