About
Crofton Community Centre Society is a volunteer-run group that operates the community hall on Musgrave Street in Crofton, at the top of Roberts Street across from the fire hall. The hall has been newly renovated into a roomy gathering place with a wood floor, suited to both large events and smaller get-togethers.
The hall is available to rent for wedding ceremonies and receptions, birthdays, banquets, luncheons, memorial services and celebrations of life, dances, seminars, workshops, classes, meetings and staff parties. Couples can hold the ceremony and reception in the same place, with the Crofton seawalk and beach close by for photos. The society's site also has information on catering, donations and membership.
Beyond rentals, the society brings the community together through monthly information meetings, a Halloween event for kids, a New Year's Eve dance and summer happenings such as Crofton Day and Movies in the Park. It also supports local projects and bursaries through charitable donations. Volunteers keep it all running, and the society is always looking for more help.
For information call 250-715-7656; the hall line is 250-246-3009, though messages there may not be checked every day. Mail goes to PO Box 406, Crofton.
