Seasmoke Whale Watching is a whale-watching operator on Fir Street in Alert Bay on Cormorant Island, running small-group tours since 1986. Departing into Upper Johnstone Strait, with free pickup from Alder Bay near Telegraph Cove, its trips seek northern resident orcas, humpback and minke whales, Bigg's killer whales, dolphins, sea lions and eagles. A NIMMSA member following a conduct code beyond federal rules, it is Transport Canada certified and is developing a quieter hybrid-electric boat.
