  Organized by members of the Society for Creative Anachronism\, the faire
  recreates the sights and sounds of the Middle Ages with armoured combat 
 demonstrations\, archery\, a medieval market of artisan wares\, period mu
 sic and dancing\, and hands-on displays of traditional skills. Costumed p
 articipants bring the era to life\, and visitors of all ages are encourag
 ed to wander the encampment\, watch the fighting\, and browse handmade go
 ods from local crafters. It is an immersive\, family-friendly weekend tha
 t blends education with entertainment\, offering a rare chance to see his
 torical arts practised up close in the heart of central Vancouver Island.
