DESCRIPTION:The Country Grocer Christmas Parade is the festive heart of t
 he holiday season in Lake Cowichan\, a lakeside town at the west end of t
 he Cowichan Valley. On a late-November evening\, the community gathers as
  an illuminated parade of floats\, vehicles\, community groups and Santa 
 makes its way along the main street through town and across the car bridg
 e\, with spectators bundled up along the route to watch the lights go by.
  The evening is paired with a holiday market and seasonal activities\, gi
 ving families a chance to shop local vendors\, warm up and get into the C
 hristmas spirit. It is a warm\, volunteer-supported community event that 
 reflects the friendly small-town character of the Cowichan Lake area. The
  2026 parade is scheduled for Sunday\, November 29\, 2026\, with marshall
 ing beginning in the late afternoon and the parade stepping off in the ea
 rly evening along Lake Cowichan's main street. Admission is free\, making
