DESCRIPTION:The Cumberland WinterFaire is the Cumberland Museum and Archi
 ves' largest annual fundraiser and one of the Comox Valley's most beloved
  holiday markets\, held over two days on November 28 and 29\, 2026. Acros
 s three downtown venues - the museum\, both floors of the Cumberland Cult
 ural Centre\, and the Cumberland Recreation Institute - more than seventy
 -five artisan vendors set up shop\, filling the village with handmade gif
 ts\, homemade food and festive music. Thousands of visitors come through 
 over the weekend to shop for one-of-a-kind holiday presents\, sample seas
 onal treats and soak up the warm\, small-town Christmas atmosphere. A wee
 kend wristband gives access to all of the participating locations\, letti
 ng shoppers wander between them at their own pace. Admission is by donati
 on\, with a suggested contribution\, and all proceeds support the Cumberl
 and Museum and Archives and its work preserving the coal-mining and cultu
 ral heritage of the region. Running from mid-morning to late afternoon ea
 ch day\, the faire is an easy\, family-friendly way to start the holiday 
 season while supporting local makers and a community institution. Cumberl
